Model FS30 Smart

This SCM Planer Thicknesser came into us on a part exchange from a small one man workshop. The machine is in very good condition for it’s age and has been through our workshop for cleaning and servicing. New Tersa knives have been fitted.

Optimal planing:
The planer unit in this machine has a 72 mm diameter cutter block. Fitted with optional extra “Tersa” cutter block with quick tightening knives and automatic adjustment. For an impeccable result, the pressure of the thicknesser feed rollers can be adjusted according to the type of wood machined. The thicknesser infeed roller has helical toothing to guarantee strong, constant work piece feed. In contrast, the sandblasted steel outfeed roller maintains the perfect post-machining finish.

Absolute rigidity:
Very high rigidity surfacing tables, solid cast iron. The aluminium fence has measures 1300mm long x 150mm high and can be tilted from 90° to 45°. A solid cast iron thickening bed is adjusted manually by a hand wheel conveniently positioned at the feed side of the machine. A scale readout ensures accurate setting when thicknessing timber.

Power:
A three phase 3Kw (4Hp) motor powers the cutterblock and is operated by a rotary switch mounted on the front of machine.
